Vile Lilt VILE LILT
by Nada Gordon

Nada Gordon’s Vile Lilt maximizes reader joy. Replete with a thousand new words, outrageous images and ornamental excess, Vile Lilt tilts at and topples our literary expectations into a brackish puddle where countless, unfettered beings enter and engage our bodies and minds. Gagging we sit up with the realization that we're in the presence of new poetry; Vile Lilt takes the reader elsewhere.

"In my mind there's a dream-world where ornament, agon, & lyric have fused to make a wonderland, bristling with intellect, that goes rippling through me like a fetid & brocaded bolt of rainbow silk. Then I remember, oh right, the world that I'm dreaming of is sung into being by Nada Gordon, year by year, & now, with exemplary turbulence, here in this book. As a livid riposte to dry piety, these poems puncture the old stolid habits. As a wild embrace of what's possible in writing, they open an extravagant horizon. For me, when I'm reading these 'versus,' the dreams that I dream really do come true."
- Dana Ward

Scented Rushes SCENTED RUSHES
by Nada Gordon

If all the feelings of love could be expressed in one place, we would be reading Nada Gordon’s Scented Rushes. In the very public romances of Nada Gordon, this book of yearning stands out as poetry. The writing, word for word, intensifies our senses stimulating a languor of lushness against the grain of the towering lover and the elusive beloved. The poems refresh desire.

"Dear Reader: Scented Rushes will have you jumping into and up in bed with its hot-blooded romp phrasings and honeyed ectasies, the very stuff of philosphoy and all that, all crowning achievement, and “you couldn’t get drunker."

Folly FOLLY
by Nada Gordon

"It would be folly to praise this book and folly not to. Nada Gordon is on her way to inventing a new type of poetry in which Pre-Rephaelitism meets Zeppo Marx while doing the hokey pokey to a fox trot beat. Wit and lyric exuberance are a means to an end that refuses to name itself. Trips, trespass, and trepidation rule this universe of hopeful play and endearing insouciance. The world grows dark but here are songs to keep us from losing our lights."
